A small hole is then drilled from the top of the tooth in order to access the inner chamber. The diseased tissue, including the pulp and nerve, will be removed, along with any debris. The entire area is cleaned and the canals are filled with an elastic material and medication to prevent any new infections from forming. The entire area is then sealed. If multiple sessions are required, then you will be fitted with a temporary filling to keep the tooth protected in the meantime.
