After Endodontic Treatment
Endodontic treatment has now been completed. The root canal system has been disinfected and has been sealed to prevent reinfection. However, the outer chewing surface has been sealed with a temporary restoration. This temporary seal will keep the root canal system free from contamination for a month or two.
A follow-up restoration must be placed to protect your tooth against fracture and decay. Please contact your restorative dentist to schedule an appointment for placement of a permanent restoration.
If you experience persistent pain or discomfort that does not subside after a few days please call the office to schedule a follow up appointment prior to returning to your general dentist.
